We are taking our passions to the streets of Europe over the next two weeks. The crew will be hitting up Germany and the Netherlands.  We will be spreading the ShredSideways word hitting up local skate parks in both countries and possibly doing some cable wakeboarding.

Winter is slowly coming to an end.  We have had some late season snowstorms this March that have kept the conditions more like mid-season than Spring.  Looks like we might get a chance to snowboard in April this year if it stays cold and the mountains stay open.

We’re planning a major update to our website over the next month.  Our goal is to make the site more mobile friendly than it already is.  The look will also be changing with the heating up of the temps.  Check back soon over the next month to see our new look and more Spring gear.

The trip to the Austrian Alps was simply amazing. We got to shred all three major resorts of SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental, Kitzbühel and Arlberg. Seven straight days of riding pow really took a toll but it was majorly worth it.  Hands down the best views of any continent are in the Alps. If you haven’t been, you’re missing out.  Get there as soon as you can! We are back in the states now and still riding until the snow all melts, which we don’t even want to think about yet. We are headed to Austria this week for a long vacation of shredding.  Hitting up the three major resorts of SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental, Kitzbühel and Sankt Anton am Arlberg. This past weekend we headed up to Vermont for our usual early season trip.  We usually hit up a local mountain to get ready for the weekend but this year it ended up being our first snowboarding days of the season.  We shredded Mount Snow for the first time on Friday.  Turned out to be a great day even though not many trails were open.  The new bubble chair life brought us back to trips to Europe and was great to ride as the wind picked up. Saturday and Sunday we spent at Stratton with a bunch of our friends.  Overnight we had a small storm come through so we got to spend Sunday riding some fresh pow.  Overall it was a great trip and a good start to the season.

The trip north inspired us to create our newest design.  Based on the British World War II poster and updated for today, “Keep Calm and ShredSideways.”  Check it out in our store. Many more designs are coming soon.

We have started planning out our snowboarding season for 2012-2013.  Making our usually early season trip to Stratton, Vermont in mid December.  Looks like the big trip this winter will be to Skiwelt Wilder Kaiser Brixental and Sankt Anton am Arlberg in January. Having already boarded in Innsbruck, we are looking forward to a return trip to Austria.  As for the rest of the winter, look for us every weekend at a lot of other east coast mountains.

Last month we headed down to Chile for our first trip to South America.  It ended up being the end of their season since the unusually normal lack of snow.  We made the best of it hitting up three resorts (Valle Nevado, El Colorado and La Parva) during our stay as well as a day backcountry Cat riding at Ski Arpa.  Conditions were mostly like our spring but we did get some fresh pow in the backcountry. Overall an amazing trip boarding on our third continent.  Only one more major one to go.

It was definitely a good break to the summer to get back on the snowboards. Looking forward to another great season starting in December.

We took most of the summer off the boards resting up some nagging injuries, besides some awesome wakeboarding we got in on Lake Hoptacong. Possibly going get on the wakeboards once or twice more before it gets too cold.  Speaking of cold…

We are headed to Chile tomorrow.  First time for ShredSideways to hit up the Southern Hemisphere.  We are stoked to get back on the snowboards in the Andes.  Our third continent of the four major ones to board on with only Asia.  We will try to keep you posted on how the trip is going depending on the access down there.

Been very busy the past two months. Last month, we traveled through Czech Republic and Germany.  Found out Prague is one of our favorite European cities. We got to spread the ShredSideways word hitting up some local skate parks in both countries.

Last week, we finally got out wakeboarding for the first time this year.  We had the perfect calm day on Lake Hopatcong, the water was just butter.  Usually pretty busy during the weekend, we avoided most of the lake traffic by heading out early.  We got our sea legs again by popping some wakes. Hopefully we get out a couple more times this summer.

We have finally created our first skate design and no it’s not another April Fool’s joke.  It took us some time to create it because we didn’t want to let Winter go so soon.  The new design is sort of a retro look for those who get air in the skateparks or just want to say that you can.
